ApoEx initiates pharmaceutical deliveries to Region Uppsala

Mar 7, 2019

On 1 February 2019, ApoEx began delivering pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical products to Uppsala University Hospital, Enköping Hospital and to units within primary care, the Swedish Dental Service, Health and Caring Sciences and the ‘basic supply depot’ for health and social welfare in Uppsala County. The agreement runs for three years, until 31 January 2021, with the possibility for Region Uppsala to extend the agreement for up to 24 months, divided into two extension periods.

Region Uppsala and ApoEx have worked closely together preparing for the start of the agreement to ensure an introduction with minimal disruption for ordering units within Region Uppsala. A joint implementation project was set up in the spring of 2018 to ensure an efficient and smooth transition to ApoEx as a supplier. The start-up was successfully implemented on 1 February without delivery disruptions. “We are very pleased with how painless the change of supplier went and look forward to working further with ApoEx,” says Hans Sjöberg, Chief Pharmacist at Region Uppsala.

ApoEx aims to simplify and improve healthcare. “Region Uppsala is an important and strategic customer for us. We are very proud of the trust they have placed in us with this agreement,” says Johan Möller, CEO of ApoEx. “Furthermore, we’ve enjoyed being able to work so closely together during the start-up, which has gone very well. We look forward to continuing to develop deliveries together with Region Uppsala.”
