Mar 6, 2020

Academic Work, the Swedish recruiting and staffing company, has continuously ranked high on the list of Sweden’s largest staffing providers in the white-collar sector, white collar sector. After a strong third quarter in 2019, the company surpassed rival Manpower for the second time in the company’s history. With the release of industry statistics for the full year, Academic Work clearly retains its leadership position and will also be the largest during all of 2019.

“It feels great to occupy first place for the full year of 2019, something that was just a dream when I joined the company 14 years ago. For a few years now, that dream has been a goal that we are now incredibly proud to have achieved,” says Jimmy Söderström, Vice Managing Director and Head of Sales at Academic Work Sweden. “Customers demand more from us today than before, which means that we need to constantly develop our offer and provide world-class customer service to ensure that we are every customer’s first choice. The fact that we are now leader in Sweden proves that we have been more successful than our competitors.”

Academic Work, which gained market share in the white-collar sector for 29 consecutive quarters, has a market share of 17.7 per cent for the full year of 2019, an increase of 1.38 percentage points from the previous year. In addition to having steady growth and increasing market share for many years, the company has ranked highest in the industry in customer satisfaction over the past nine years, according to the Swedish Quality Index (Svenskt Kvalitetsindex).

“The fact that we have been able to grow and also have the most satisfied customers is a tribute to our hugely committed employees, who always go the extra mile for our customers. So we would like to thank everyone who has worked with us during these years, and of course also all the customers that have entrusted us with their staffing needs since 1998,” Söderström adds.

About the statistics
The statistics are produced by Competence Agencies of Sweden, an employer and trade federation, in cooperation with Infront Data. When Competence Agencies of Sweden lists the companies with the highest revenues, it makes a division between white-collar (salaried employees) and blue-collar (non-salaried workers).
