The real estate industry is rallying and establishing a new standard for building access.

Accessy is now launched, with Sweden's largest real estate companies and investment companies Novax and Buildroid backing it. Accessy is a service that allows for the management of locks in a convenient and secure manner using a mobile phone. The service complements existing lock systems and is already adapted for most of the major lock suppliers in the market.

Accessy's vision is to create a common standard for digital keys and a service where property owners can easily connect the customer journey in a smoother way. It is a joint initiative initially funded by Vasakronan, Castellum, Akademiska Hus, Fabege, Humlegården, and Fastighetsägarna Service.

As financiers and shareholders, Axel Johnson's investment companies Novax and Buildroid are now also joining, owned by Stronghold, Vincero, and Slättö. The capital guaranteed by existing and new shareholders secures development and operations for the coming years.

"It is a strength that the development has taken place with the largest real estate companies in the market, and now with Novax and Buildroid also joining, it is a clear indication that we are on the right track," says Håkan Eriksson, CEO of Accessy.

The technology utilizes the phone as a reader, and in the Accessy app, the user's secure identity is stored, similar to a BankID. It is the digital key that opens the door if the right authorization exists. The system is already integrated with the major lock suppliers in the market such as RCO, SimonsVoss, Assa Arx, Dormakaba, Axis, and Vanderbilt, with more in line.

"With a common standard for digital key management, several challenges existing today are solved. For example, Accessy will facilitate all flows of deliveries to the properties, and tenants will be able to connect more services to their workplace. The fact that it is an open system makes it easy for property owners to connect to Accessy. You can use the lock systems you already have and do not need to invest resources in new installations," says Peter Östman, board member of Accessy and initiator.

Accessy has installed and tested the service rigorously in several of the initiators' properties over the past year, and now the service is ready to roll out on the market.
