It has recently been confirmed that the fitness chain STC is acquiring Onyx in Borås. The acquisition aligns with the chain's expansion plans, aiming to become a nationwide chain.
With the newly opened club on Allégatan and the acquisition of Onyx's three facilities, the chain is establishing a strong presence in the city. STC already has clubs in Gothenburg and Jönköping, making Borås a natural step and an important hub for increasing accessibility in the Västra Götaland region.
"Borås is a prosperous city, and we have received many requests to establish ourselves here. Our ambition is to offer everyone who visits us some form of training that suits them, and we hope to bring new training energy and new training methods to the city," says CEO Katarina Andersson.
In addition to the basic offering containing strength, cardio, and group training, virtual training will also be available here, enabling round-the-clock group training on large LED screens. Borås residents will also have the opportunity to try STC's new concept HIIT - an effective training session that provides an endorphin kick beyond the ordinary. This combines strength, cardio, and endurance in exercises that can be scaled according to participants' levels with the help of an encouraging coach.
"We have built 100 clubs in Sweden, and the response from members allows us to constantly develop our concept. The range, interior, and color choices are carefully selected, but the most important thing is always to fill the clubs with joy, passion, and community. We do this work together," says establishment manager Antoni Kutics.
